She makes sure each person in her class receives individual attention and her deep understanding of the biomechanics of Pilates and yoga, coupled with her patience and enthusiasm, make her a highly effective teacher for all abilities. She is no softy though; she ensures her pupils progress, building on previous classes while avoiding repetition by constantly adding new material. Her on-line teaching has been brilliant and a welcome distraction during the lockdown too.

Sarah put us at our ease straight away and the hour lessons went very quickly also achieving a lot in that time. I now attend one of Sarah’s small morning classes and feel extremely confident in doing all the exercises knowing that in our private sessions we were taught very well with the correct positions and breathing techniques. Sarah considers any injuries or weakness’s and ensures that you perform all the exercises in a safe manner. We would both recommend Sarah to anyone wishing to take up Pilates.

My sessions with Sarah at SgFit are always challenging and fun and specifically tailored to my goals and needs. It’s vital for me to have Sarah’s expert tuition to ensure that I’m getting the benefit of each movement or pose. Counteracting years of being stuck behind a desk will always take time but I’ve really noticed the improvement in my connection to my body and the difference that makes not just in my Pilates class but also in my regular gym programme, at the climbing wall and in day to day life.

I first went to her for massage to treat a painful lower back, but was so impressed by her expertise and my improved well-being that I decided to try individual Yoga / Pilates sessions. Well what can I say, the best thing I have been involved in for my overall fitness with low back pain from running, posture and movement. Sarah’s knowledge and experience of all aspects of the anatomy and movement is outstanding, she explains all the exercises in detail and always gives several options to achieve the best results. The classes are always a delight to attend, challenging sessions in small groups, so attention given to individuals during the classes is achieved. Sarah’s classes have made a big difference to my overall fitness and understanding of how the anatomy works which will benefit me for life.


Without SgFit I would have never been able to move as much as I can after my riding accident fracturing my back. Sarah is an inspirational coach with such an amazing zest for Pilates I can’t thank her enough.


I started Pilates in January, and it’s been amazing. Having suffered with sciatica for many months this has helped immensely, the pain has gone, and I certainly am feeling the benefits of being able to move more freely. I took part in the youth yoga classes during lockdown. Sarah explained the positions in detail so that I fully understood. I had pulled a muscle in my lower back and these yoga sessions really helped me stretch my back and relieved a huge amount of discomfort.

I also see Sarah for one to one session following my broken elbow, she gives me exercises that I can work on at home. Sarah is a lovely, kind person, and I always go home looking forward to my next session. Thank you for all of your help.

Sarah provides a friendly and professional service. She has seamlessly transferred her classes online – providing virtual lessons even before lockdown started. She has been offering a huge variety of different classes, including pilates, yogalates and barre, as well as meditation and breathing classes to help her clients cope during this difficult time.
