Nature can inspire us and underpins our very existence. Scientists have found evidence that being in nature can help to reduce anxiety and stress, increases our attention span, creativity and ability to connect with others. Nature is important to our happiness as being connected to anything outside ourselves e.g. family or a cause that matters to us- can help us be happier but research suggests being connected to nature can make people happier whether they have these connections or not.

Nature can have a positive healing effect on well-being changing not only our mood but how well our nervous, endocrine and immune system work. By nurturing yourself in Nature it can help to improve your mood, reduce feelings of stress or anger, help to make new connections, encourage us to take time out and feel more relaxed, improve our physical health in addition to confidence and self-esteem. I just love the feeling of being immersed in nature and a quote by Lao Tzu “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished”. This completely resonates and at times we rush or put ourselves under pressure. Next time we set an aim, objective or goal continue with persistence but remember patience is vital- be kind to yourself.

Nature can soothe, heal and restore allowing us to become more aligned, centered and grounded.
